Imagine magazine
In the current issue, Miss C especially enjoyed a "career spotlight" on Gini Cruz Santos, a Pixar Studios animator who has worked on Jessie and Bullseye for Toy Story II, Dory in Finding Nemo, and other characters. One of Miss C's current career ambitions (of several) is exactly that, to be an animator for Pixar. Reading about a young woman with such a job is very cool.
The magazine features a different theme each issue. The current one is "Robotics and AI." Upcoming themes are Mathematics, Storytelling, Medicine & Health Sciences, Seeing the World, and Computers, Connections, and Codes. Back issues are available as well, with an interesting variety of themes. I highly recommend one with the theme "Learning Anywhere & Everywhere," which includes homeschooling, and actually gets it right, from way back in Sept./Oct. 1995 (see Previous Issues). It was still more of a newsletter at that point (today it's a glossy magazine), but a densely packed, well edited one.
Each issue features student reviews of a particular university, for those looking ahead to college. There are other articles by teens, and they are always highly intelligent, yet very much reflecting young voices. The magazine has no ads, just really great content.

I also enjoy sharing resources and ideas for gifted homeschooling with others, and to describe the learning experiences I have with my daughter, Miss C (for "Creative”). This blog is not comprehensive. Instead, like our homeschooling style, it follows our interests. I hope it is useful to others.
